ARE YOU AN ACTIVIST FIGHTING INEQUALITY? 

• Are you or your organisation, social movement, trade union or community based organisation a member of the Fight Inequality Alliance?
• Have you participated in Fight Inequality Alliance campaigns, mobilisations or other actions?
• Would you and your organisation like to be a part of upcoming campaigns, actions and mobilisations of the alliance? 

If yes, then, join the Fight Inequality Alliance National and Global Gatherings from July 20-31, 2020 and August 3-14, 2020 respectively. 

Both National and Global Gatherings will take on a new online format where we come together as an alliance to forge our collective action for 2020/21.

Fight Inequality Alliance National Gatherings 

The Fight Inequality Alliance National Gatherings will look back over the last 12 months, taking stock of national achievements and learnings. They will also focus on movement building and sharpening national strategies and plans for 2020/21.  

The Fight Inequality Alliance National Gatherings are happening online from July 20-31, 2020 will: 

1. National alliances collectively look back on the last 12 months of organising.
2. Set the direction for their national organising for 2020/21.
3. Sharpen national strategies in light of changing national and global dynamics.
4. Strengthen movement building by developing skills and strengthening relationships amongst us.
5. Building on the interconnectedness between national, regional and global strategies.
6. Share and inspire one another and take action collectively.

Fight Inequality Alliance Global Gathering

The Fight Inequality Alliance Global Gathering is happening during the Covid-19 pandemic that further exacerbates existing inequalities globally. The pandemic will push us into a global recession whose impacts will still be felt for decades to come. There is however an opportunity in this for us to challenge the status quo and fight for a new world where inequality no longer exists. 

The Fight Inequality Alliance Global Gathering, happening online on August 3-14, 2020, will:

1. Set direction for the alliance for 2020 onwards (from national to regional to global).
2. Build our national level alliance campaigning – learn from each other, build on synergies and concretise plans.
3. Plan for upcoming global mobilisations including the People’s Assemblies/ People’s Annual Meetings as an alternative to the UN General Assembly, the World Bank and IMF annual meeting, January’s Global  Protest to #FightInequality  taking into account the global context.
4. Further develop our ways of organising.
5. Share and inspire one another and take action collectively.
